Every Madre Selva team member takes on their unique role of being of service and working with gentle care from their hearts and their connection to the plant teachers and the jungle life experience. To create a safe space for participants who dare take the adventure into the jungle, to diet with the sacred plants under our guidance. In honor, with generous smiles and humility, to assist in the best possible way for the transformations that happen on this sacred land.
Moises Llerena Taricuarima
CEO of madre selva, maestro curandero & visionary artist
Moisés, born near Iquitos, Peru, grew up immersed in the Amazon rainforest's rich shamanic traditions, influenced by his family's Cocama lineage. Trained as a visionary artist under Pablo Amaringo at the Usko Ayar Amazon School of Painting, he developed a deep bond with nature. Guided by the jungle, he honed his expertise in plant medicine with respected maestros, eventually founding Madre Selva Resort, a centre for art, healing and connection. Together with his partner Naomi, he integrates art, ceremonies and music, to bridge communities with the sacred plants of the Amazon.
Naomi Deelen Llerena
Maestra, organizer-management and sales
Naomi's spiritual journey led her to self-healing and a deep connection with sacred plant medicines, inspiring her to integrate art and ceremony in a sacred way. Trained in the Shipibo and Huni Kuin traditions, she shares the energy of the plants in ceremonies, continually deepening her studies. Meeting Moisés in their medicine work, they united their visions, moving to Peru to balance feminine and masculine energies. Together, they honor the call of the plants, guiding others to recognize the ultimate medicine within theirselves.
